Wine made with love by father & daughter duo, Tim & Katie Turvey

In our Topsy-Turvey world it is great to have some solidity where family dreams can come true.

After 35 years of winemaking by father and 20 years by daughter, we have decided to produce this wine together to cement that dream.

This multigenerational collaboration has resulted in wines that we love to drink - big, robust, full flavoured with the care and dedication required to allow for extended cellaring to deliver such power and complexity.

Our family vineyards, by the sea in Te-Awanga, Hawke's Bay produce the purity required, with cleansing sea breezes, allowing the extending ripening - no expense spared!

We hope you enjoy our wines - made with love

The Topsy Turvey story

Topsy Turvey wines is a passion project between Tim Turvey and his daughters.

It seems winemaking runs in the Turvey blood with his eldest daughter Katie Mckellow also a winemaker. Tim & Katie have worked together to create a range of wines which reflect their passion for all things wine.

This multigenerational mix has resulted in wines that Tim and his daughters love to drink - big, robust, full flavoured with the care and dedication required to allow extended cellaring.

The predominance of fruit from family vineyards by the ocean creates a dry maritime environment allowing to hold the fruit longer which adds enormous flavour. The soils in the vineyards are overlaid with river stones and shingle allowing greater porosity, less dilution and greater intensity.

By creating small batch wines with no expense spared these are top quality wines which allow them to use their full creativity - the perfect wines to share with family and friends.
